Ungrateful Society

I'm so sick of this bullshit society
Where if we try and do something nice
We get hate in return

It's as if good is no longer the norm
It's just one of those things that people talk about
Never do them

Even if someone trying to help may not have been what you wanted
Shouldn't you be grateful?

It's simple things
Like telling someone they look beautiful
And they respond almost immediately
"No I don't, I'm so ugly!"

And complicated things
Like helping someone with a project
And being treated like shit because you did it wrong
Even if you took out several hours of your time to help them

Our society is full of greedy bastards
And I'm not saying I'm always grateful
But I try my best to be.

Give someone the respect they deserve
Even if it wasn't what you needed at this point
